Makhdoom Ashraf Mission
The Monastery was found at the humble idea of Hazrat Sirajuddin Akhi Aina-e-Hind Rahmatullah Alaih in 1980. The foundation of this holy monastery is actually an outcome of a divine dream. It was the sacred night of 1980,when a miraculous night centuries ago Allah took his prophet, Mohammad S.A. (pbuh) on a journey from Makkah to heaven. The night in Islam is dubbed as Shab- e-Meraj. Huzur Ashraful-Aulia was in deep mediation, when suddenly Hazrat Sirajuddin Aina-e- Hind saw in his dream and ordered him to build a Monastery near his shrine. Not only him, everyone who was there that night saw the same dream, and hence this holy monastery came into existence. Next morning, everyone who dreamed last night submitted their dreams in a written form to Ashraful-Alia and he asked for a mattock and the foundation stone was laid on that very morning. Ashraful-Aulia named this monastery after the owner of the shrine and said, "From now onwards, the generosities of Makhdoomul-Alam will shower right from here."
Prior to the foundation of Makhdoom Ashraf Mission, whenever Ashraful-Aulia used to visit Panduwa Sharif, preferred to stay at the home of late Haji Taimoor Ashrafi. But due to lack of space, crowd of the visitors to Ashraful-Aulia had to face a number of difficulties. Later on, after the foundation of Makhdoom Ashraf Mission, Haji Taimoor devoted a piece of his land for the monastery where the successor of Ashraful-Aulia, Huzur Tajul-Aulia Hazrat Allama Syed Jalaluddin Ashraf Ashrafi Al-Jeelani built this monastery for the trouble-free visits of his lovers. It is only 100 steps away towards south-east from the shrine of Huzur Alaul-Haque Ganj Nabat Chishti Lahori Pandavi A.R. This monastery was aimed to be comprised upon 5 storeys which is standing with only 3 storeys till now, the 4th one is under construction. The last and the ground floors have been specified for the visitors while middle floor has been granted for the accommodation of a few teachers from Makhdoom Ashraf Mission. During the Urs times, clerics and divinely personalities stay at the same monastery.
